Open day at Palliser Ridge

As winners of the 2019 Balance Environmental award for the Greater Wellington Region Palliser Ridge farm will be open to the public on Tuesday May 14th 2019 12 noon to 4pm.

It’s time for a Garden Party. Here’s the Sand Sea Sky colour theme I’ve dyed to for upcoming fibre festivals. Inspired by our trip to Onetahua-Farewell Spit where we walked along the sand, gazing out to distant horizon and imagining the looooong flights of those amazing migrating seabirds. These colours take me back to that lovely place. I’ve done this theme in 4-ply/fingering and DK weight yarns. #naturaldyedyarn #botanicaldyedyarn #kindlydyeryarns #knittersofaotearoa

Dyepot and dahlia appreciation post. This Café au Lait dahlia has flowered in my garden all summer, survived being bashed by wind and rain and been a joy and inspiration.
