Good intentions for 2021 – yarns online
I’m planning to list yarns for sale on FELT – it’s an online market place for NZ-based artisan craftspeople. I like that it’s a local entity. Here’s a link to my shop, if you want to go directly the address is kindlydyer.felt.co.nz
FELT is easy to use, there are several payment options on the system including PayPal, and the site allows you to ask me questions about listings.
I really appreciate your feedback on purchases too.
Markets and yarn festivals
I will continue to be involved with the Martinborough Makers pop-up markets held at Thunderpants HQ, 42 Naples Street, Martinborough. Dates for 2021 still to be confirmed.
Aside from any perturbations to life as we know it, I will have a stall at Woolfest Auckland on Saturday 29 May 2021 at Kumeu Showgrounds, and hopefully at Capital Fibre Festival on Saturday 10 July 2021.
I will post on the Kindly Dyer instagram and Facebook when I’m heading to yarn markets or updating on-line listings.
I dye yarns in small quantities only, and as time permits. That is the best way I can keep my promise to be kind to the environment, by using plant materials in-season, using and disposing of water carefully.
Natural dye yarns are unique and variable. Even though the same recipe may be used, the colours resulting from each dye batch may be different. Within the same batch there will be variation in the yarn colouring; this is the nature of natural and hand-dyed yarns.
Shipping, delivery and returns
Yarns listed on-line are ready to ship and will usually be despatched within 48 hours of purchase. I will notify the buyer when yarn is shipped, and if there are any delays I will let you know.
Within NZ – Parcels will be sent by standard courier services. Shipping starts at $4.50, plus 50c for each additional cake/skein.
If the yarn you receive does not meet your expectations please let me know within 14 days of receipt. (You can send a message using the FELT system.) You may return the yarn within 30 days of receipt, in the same condition that you received it. Return postage is at the buyers cost.
International – In general I do not ship overseas because of the negative environmental impact of sending (non-essential) product via long distance air transport.
